Winter in the Berkshires
Here we are in January of 2022. We’ve had quite a cold month out here in the lovely Berkshires, with snow unlikely to melt anytime soon. Walking outside is a noisy activity, crunching through the ice-topped snow. A wide variety of birds have been visiting our feeder: cardinals and blue jays, juncos, chickadees, tufted titmice, downey woodpeckers, pilleated woodpeckers, gold finches, and today’s addition, a white throated sparrow. We also have a number of grey squirrels (one of whom is black) and red squirrels chowing down on peanuts and sunflower seeds.
Our cats have been spending a lot of time lounging in front of the woodstove, which Slava has going pretty much 24/7, as it’s the main heat source in his studio.
Slava has been hard at work, creating a new line of platinum and sapphire necklaces. He’s combining different colored stones to make your neckline sparkle. Stay tuned!
We will be at the Tucson Gem Show next week, which is old hat for Slava but new for me. We’re looking forward to seeing amazing things and hopefully not catching Covid!
